WATER FOR LIFE

Drinking Water Need – Community Bore Well Project

In the target village, women and young girls are forced to draw drinking water from an open well that is extremely deep and unsafe. Due to the depth of the well, it has become physically difficult and risky for women to draw water on a daily basis. Many women spend long hours waiting and struggling to collect a single pot of water.

In addition, during summer months, the water level drops drastically, making the well almost inaccessible. Some families are compelled to walk nearly 5 kilometers to neighboring villages in search of safe drinking water. This not only affects their health but also impacts women’s productivity, children’s schooling, and overall family well-being.

The lack of a nearby and reliable drinking water source has created serious health and hygiene challenges, especially for children, elderly people, and pregnant women. Consumption of unsafe water has led to frequent cases of waterborne diseases.

Proposed Solution

To address this critical issue, we respectfully request support to drill a bore well at the central point of the community. This location will ensure easy access for all households, reducing the burden on women and ensuring a sustainable supply of safe drinking water.

The proposed bore well will:

  • Provide safe and clean drinking water to the entire community
  • Reduce health risks and waterborne diseases
  • Save time and physical strain for women and children
  • Improve hygiene, dignity, and quality of life

This intervention will bring long-term relief and promote health, safety, and development for the vulnerable village community.
